Helios horse pyrois - 3 colour screen print

3 Colour Screenprint of Pyrois

In Greek mythology Helios drove the chariot of the sun across the sky each day and returned to the East at night. His charoit was pulled by four horses, Pyrios, Aeos, Aethon, and Phlegon. They were all given appropriately fiery names. This print is Pyrois, he has images that represent that flight across the earth from east to west.
You can see work in progress on my earlier post.

This is a limed edition print run of 100 in white , pink and ultramarine printed on japanese Atsukuchi paper, which is only 57gsm, but don’t be fooled although this paper is thin it is very strong with a waxy finish which makes the ink stand up beautifully.
This and other prints are available from the shop, The DM collection
