The birth of an illustration. “Bully illustration”

These next posts will be a work in progress from start to finish of a commission from Men’s Style in Australia. From the roughs through to the final art work. The article that I was asked to illustrate was about Bullying and is for the opinion column in the said magazine.
Firstly after reading the article I did some rough thumbnails. The Art director was keen of to reference a video on youtube of a smaller child bullying a bigger one. needless to say it turned out badly for the smaller one check it out here.
Also the art director was interested in referencing Pink Floyd, “another brick in the wall”, because the incident took play in a school yard.
So below are a load of ideas.
